A strong password should be at least 8 characters long and include a combination of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers and symbols. Such a password, however can be difficult to remember. The problem is compounded when a user needs multiple passwords for different accounts. A passphrase can be as secure or more secure (if longer) and is much easier to remember.
